This is the second edition of his first book, and adds a set of refrigerator magnets and about 20 pages of additional recipes and other material.
This book shows his comic sensibilities as well as know-how, while treating us to a bunch of excellent recipes.
This book is much like his first, but primarily focuses on baking.
I probably learned a lot more from this book than from the first, but both books are excellent reads.

Although this book focuses on kitchen utensils and such, it still contains quite a few recipes.
Alton Brown offers several ingenious ideas, such as using terra cotta pots for baking.
