Check out Six Reasons Why Husbands Should Cook.

1. Control. As they say, the best way to a man’s heart is to surgically saw his breastplate open; but delicious food works just as well.

2. Food as a motivational tool works wonders: lawn needs mowing? Bribe him with his favorite pan-fried chicken. Want a week’s worth of back massages? Let him know that if your arms are sore, cooking becomes excruciating.

3. As I’ve said in my Six Reasons Why Husbands Should Cook post, its a good way to control your spouse’s weight; I’ve never heard of a woman wanting her hubby to gain weight, but it’d be fairly easy to help him lose that beer gut.

4. “Honey, dinner’s ready!” a voice rang out from the kitchen. He reluctantly tore his gaze from the game, stood up, and joined his loving wife for a nice meal.

5. Behind every successful man is a good woman: I’ve always thought this quote to be a little silly. Do unsuccessful men stand behind their wives? Are bad women in front, or do they remain in the back? Why are all these couples lining up like this? Anyhow, straight men are typically incapable of functioning without the support of their loved ones. Please feed them.

6. A trade-off: hubby cooks Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; wifey cooks Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Saturdays are date nights, or you both stay in for a Die Hard marathon with take-out pizza.
